Scopum's integration with SendGrid enables easy and efficient integration of your rich and clean data warehouse data with SendGrid's marketing email personalization service, so as to accurately target users in your campaigns.
You can synchronize user data from your data warehouse to SendGrid recurringly (15 min/hourly/daily) or ad-hoc. This sync runs will create and update users in SendGrid based on information from your data warehouse.
To setup the intgeration with SendGrid, you will be asked to provide credentials for SendGrid and your data soure.

Best practice would be to create a separate API key for every integration. Therefore we suggest tocreate a new API key for Scopum even if you have already a SendGrid API key in use somewhere else.
The following steps describe how to obtain the information you need when setting up your Scopum integration with SendGrid.
1. Get Your SendGrid API Key
To get your SendGrid Key,
You can copy your API key from the section entitled Your API Keys.
In order to map fields from your data source (e.g data warehouse, you need to provide merge tags that correspond to each SendGrid field you want to map.
To specify merge tags:
- Select your Audience.
- Under the Settings menu, select Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags.
- In the Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags screen, add merge tags for any other field that you want to use in your campaign targeting.
Note: A merge tag for EMAIL is required for the integration with Scopum. This field is usually already present after the audience in Mailchimp was created.
